I’m the new guy around the tattoo side of Nitty Gritty. I first fell in love with the idea of tattoos when I saw them on all of the members of my favourite bands as a kid. Since then, I knew I wanted to be covered in art. It wasn’t until attending Beal art school that I was turned onto the style of traditional tattoos. I love the bold bright colours and the simplicity of the designs. It seemed approachable and obtainable much like the punk and hardcore music I was listening to at the time.
Tattooing is something that has always been a dream of mine and something that I’ve wanted to do for years. I feel very privileged and honored to be welcomed into the world of tattooing and I hope to keep some of that old school magic alive by referencing classic designs and making them a little more me.
