For those who don't know me, my name is Jose and I'm a barber at Nitty Gritty!
I'm originally from El Salvador, so yes se habla Espanol! I’m also a proud father of 4, and have lived in London, Ontario for a little bit over 30 years.
I've been a barber for roughly 10 years, being diverse in all kinds of haircuts, culture and styles, and am also highly experienced in the art of straight razor shaves as well.
Barbering has changed my life in many aspects, from being able to communicate and be more open to being more social. It has helped me with my mental health which is very important, so finding out that the shop donates $1 from every tattoo and haircut service let me know taking a position at Nitty Gritty was a perfect fit for me. Barbering is my passion and never feels like work, so I’m always paying attention to my client’s requests, giving them my undivided attention and focusing on the small details.
